The North Star League is a 17-team mens amateur baseball league in the Minnesota Baseball Association. It is located in south-central Minnesota, and most of its teams are within an hour's drive of the Twin Cities. It stretches from Dassel and Kingston on the west side to Maple Plain on the east, and from Hutchinson in the southwest to Big Lake in the north and Elk River on the northeast side of the North Star League area.

It is presently comprised of five Class B teams and twelve Class C teams. The difference between the classes is somewhat arbitrary; in general, Class B teams are considered stronger because they come from larger towns, boast a certain number of ex-college or pro players, or have reached the state Class C finals. However, most NSL games do not exhibit such great disparity. (Class A squads are those confined to the I-494/694 loop.) The caliber of play in the North Star League is always strong, and NSL teams typically play deep into the state tournament each year.

League games are always scheduled on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays during the summer. (Please see the schedule for details.) The NSL strives to attract fans of all ages to its games. As a result, it has kept ticket prices low and maintains an enjoyable, entertaining atmosphere. Make a date to watch some town-team ball this summer!
